Partha Pratim Chakrabarti (Chakraborty) (born 1962) is an Indian computer scientist. He is a distinguished professor and the former director of IIT Kharagpur. Dr. Chakrabarti has made pioneering research contributions and solved a number of open problems. His work has been incorporated in standard text books as well as industry level tools of major international companies. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences and supervised two dozen PhD students. He is also an honorary awardee of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, the highest science award in India, for the engineering category in 2000.

Prof. Devika Madalli currently serves as the Director of INFLIBNET, UGC-IUC, Gandhinagar. Prior to this, she was a Professor at the Documentation Research and Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute, and also held a position as Adjunct Faculty at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI), University of Trento, Italy.

Prof. (Dr.) Ramesh C. Gaur is a renowned academician, Fulbright Scholar, and cultural heritage expert with over 33 years of experience in library science, digital archiving, and knowledge management. He currently serves as Dean (Administration) and Director, Kalanidhi Division at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi, leading major projects such as the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Centre for Design (ABCD) and the National Mission on Cultural Mapping (NMCM). He previously served as Director of the National School of Drama (2022–2023) and Officer on Special Duty for establishing the Indian Institute of Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. Prof. Gaur is the first Indian member of UNESCO’s International Advisory Committee for the Memory of the World Programme (2018–2025) and an active contributor to its Global Task Force on Indigenous Languages (2020–2032). He has advised global institutions like Digital Dunhuang (China) and ICDH (South Korea) on digitizing cultural heritage. Author of 20 books and 70+ papers, he has delivered over 600 lectures in 25+ countries. His work in academic integrity, research ethics, and digital preservation has earned him 18+ awards, including the Turnitin Global Innovation Award (USA).

Dr. Partha Pratim Das earned his Ph.D. in 1988 and served as a faculty member at IIT Kharagpur's Department of Computer Science and Engineering from 1988 to 1998. He then transitioned to industry, holding leadership roles at Alumnus Software, A Quaint Technology, and Interra Systems, where he was Senior Director and Centre Head, Kolkata. Returning to IIT Kharagpur in 2011, he served until 2022, contributing to areas like data science, software engineering, digital learning, and digital heritage. Dr. Das has been a Visiting Professor at Ashoka University (2022–24) and the University of Calcutta (2003–12). He also served as Head of the Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship, Professor-in-Charge of IIT Kharagpur’s Research Park, and Joint PI of the National Digital Library of India (NDLI). His work has earned numerous accolades, including awards from UNESCO, INSA, UGC, and Indian Academy of Sciences. He has also chaired major national and international conferences and served as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of the Institution of Engineers (India): Series B.

Prof. Pabitra Mitra is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, India. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science and is widely recognized for his contributions to machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval. Prof. Mitra’s research integrates theory and practical applications, with work spanning across domains such as bioinformatics, web intelligence, and social network analysis. He has published extensively in top-tier journals and conferences and has supervised numerous Ph.D. scholars. He has also collaborated with leading research institutions and industry partners, contributing to both academic and applied innovations. Prof. Mitra has played a key role in national-level digital initiatives, including the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) project, where he serves as a technical advisor. His work has earned several accolades, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing the frontiers of AI and data science in India and beyond.

Prof. Soumya K. Ghosh is a noted Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. His research expertise spans spatial informatics, spatio‑temporal data analysis, spatial web services, cloud computing, and machine learning . He leads the Spatial Informatics Group, developing systems for geographic information systems (GIS), location‑based services, human movement analysis from GPS data, spatial big data, and geospatial cloud infrastructure. His team collaborates with India’s Department of Science & Technology on prototype spatial data infrastructures and mobile GIS Prof. Ghosh earned his M.Tech. and Ph.D. at IIT Kharagpur, and began his career at ISRO, working on remote sensing and GIS applications He has published over 200 research articles, co-supervised numerous students and is principal investigator on several national and industrial projects—ranging from blockchain-based spatial cloud platforms (DST) to AI-driven urban and healthcare systems His work strengthens India’s position in spatial data science and cloud-based geospatial services.
DLIS, University of Kalyani, India
Prof. Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay is a leading academic in the Department of Library and Information Science at University of Kalyani, West Bengal, where he serves as Professor and Head. An IASLIC Best Young LIS Teacher awardee, he has authored over 100 journal papers and five books, including a UNESCO-published volume on interoperability and retrieval. A passionate open-source advocate, Prof. Mukhopadhyay has developed and promoted multiple open-source projects. He contributed as a metadata consultant to the National Digital Library (NDL) initiative at IIT Kharagpur and is currently a member of the Advisory Committee for the National Virtual Library Project under the Ministry of Culture. In 2006, he pioneered VidyaOnline, an e-learning portal for Vidyasagar University, and currently delivers three online courses via SWAYAM His expertise spans metadata standards, digital repositories, and e-learning environments. Under his leadership, the DLIS department actively engages in ICT-driven research, virtual library services, and multilingual information systems-cementing its role in advancing digital librarianship in India.
